Epiphanius Wilson (1883-1963) was a British Orientalist scholar and professor of Arabic at Cambridge University. He was born in London and studied at Oxford University, where he graduated in Oriental languages. After graduating, Wilson spent several years living and working in the Middle East, where he developed a deep knowledge of Arabic culture and language.

In 1921, Wilson returned to England and joined the faculty of Cambridge University. He taught Arabic for more than 30 years. In addition to his teaching work, Wilson published numerous books and articles on Arabic literature and history.
